Canadian summary results for 2003/2004

These data were collected as part of an international educational project; therefore, the Statistics Act does not apply to them. Schools participated voluntarily and were not part of a representative sample of the school population. These data should not be used as official statistics for formal research.

The survey was answered by 7,683 students across Canada during the 2003/2004 school year using two questionnaires, one for elementary and the other for secondary students. The elementary category includes grades 4 to 8 (secondary 2 in Quebec) and the secondary category includes grades 9 to 12 (secondary 3 to 5 in Quebec).

The following tables show results for Canada for selected questions that appeared in both questionnaires:
